No matter who you are, motivation is something that everyone will need in their life from time to time. However, because of the fact that every individual is different it takes different factors to motivate people.

Some people are motivated by a goal, some people are motivated because they do not want to be made fun of and others are motivated because they simply would like to have change in their life.

Extrinsic motivation is something that a lot of people are motivated by. It can be defined as motivation that comes from outside of a person. Your motivation comes from outside from rewards such as money or good grades. These rewards provide the individual with a type of satisfaction and pleasure that they do not get from the task itself.

Someone that is motivated extrinsically is the type of person that will participate in a task even if they know that they have very little interest in it. They are driven by the anticipation and satisfaction that they will get from the reward they are going to receive.

The rewards can be a wide variety of things. They can be something as small as a sticker to add to their collection and can even be something a lot bigger such as a car, a house or something that everyone loves money.

Another example would be if an extrinsically motivated person who hated science would work hard on the science solutions given to them because they want the reward that is given to them upon completion. If you are looking at it from the perspective of a student the reward would be a good mark on the assignment or even in the class.

Although it may seem odd, people get pleasure and are motivated by many different things. At the end of the day it really comes down to what works best for the individual and in these cases it is extrinsic motivation.

Self motivation is something that does not come easy, it is something that has to be worked on continuously so that it can be fully achieved. Now you can have someone teach you self motivation, or you can step up to the plate and try to achieve it by teaching it to yourself.

The first and possibly most simple thing to do would be to hang around people that are self motivated and like to motivate other people. Within time this will rub off on you in a positive way. This is much better instead of hanging out with people who have a negative attitude towards life.

Try to make a list of everything that motivates you even if you think it is silly because remember this is your own personal list that applies to you. After you have made your list make sure that you put it somewhere that you could easily see it even if you post sticky pads all around your house.

Next learn different ways to become even better. Your list may help you however there could be other ways that could help you achieve your goals and be more motivated even faster. One thing that definitely works is try to teach other people, once you try to help other people become stronger, you yourself will become stronger.

Faith always works so ask god to help you, just because he does not deliver right away it does not mean it is not coming. Just remember that you do not have to waste money on books, tape recordings and other things similar to that which will not necessarily work for you. It is within you and sometimes surprisingly the most simple of all things seem to be the ones that help you the most. So try it out and see what happens.

Sure other people can try to motivate you as much as they like however if you do not motivate yourself then you will never get out of any bad situation that you are in or achieve any goal that you are trying to reach.

If you really think about it you need some kind of motivational drive for just about anything. Your boss or colleague might motivate you to finish a specific task that you have been stalled on, if you play sports you may be tired of running however the possibility of winning motivates you to keep on going. You will be absolutely surprised with how easy it can be to have self motivation if you just simply follow these tasks.

First things first do not worry or beat yourself up if you make any mistakes, mistakes are inevitable and we can only learn from them so that we may improve and do things differently in life. The next thing is to feel happy about your self and about life. Happiness and positive energy is what motivates you. It keeps you optimistic and also enthusiastic happy people are generally more motivated to accomplish or complete something as oppose to people who have negative thoughts on their minds.

The next thing to do is put yourself in good surroundings. If you are surrounded by people whom are risk takers, goal achievers, and have positive energy, then you are going to feed off their positive energy and feel like you should do something positive and be in a positive mood as well. Being around negative people tends to bring down your mood and that is not what you want.

Finally you must not pay attention to what people say if you do then you are always going to concentrate on that and let it bother you. The constant need to please will eventually bring you down. These are just a few of many self motivation ideas

that can help you with your motivation.

If you know what you believe and have it in you to communicate your words of wisdom then you will be one of the few that are able to share this with the rest of the world. Your ideas may serve others by motivating them to improve their lives. It’s a true statement that motivation quotes are what drive others to excel and improve. Furthermore, since they can be shared by everyone who reads them they have almost a universal appeal. To read more about this . . . There have also been well known personalities from different walks of life that have also contributed their thoughts in this regard. Its usually just a matter of finding something positive about your present place in life.

Needed Inspiration Provided

These sayings can be of many kinds. These proverbs can be in the form of witticisms, humor, statements of friendship and love. Whatever the means be, these are just employed to motivate others and will always end up providing the encouragement for those who are seeking self-improvement. This is especially true when and individual finds themselves in situations where things just don’t ever seem to go right. Without a doubt these phrases help to not only motivate other people but to excite and inspire them. They generally are very powerful because they diminish negativity and lead to situational improvement.

When it comes to using these quotations you can be sure they will provide you with encouragement and help you be more focused towards your objectives. They are also a great way to remain committed to achieving your goals. A lot of these quotes will drive you and compel you to taking positive action inside and outside of your self. In fact a daily dose of such could be said to strengthen your mental processes, positive beliefs, and have a positive impact in your daily living. Of course this is simply saying that such a change of habit will lead to desirable changes in your attitude and also in your daily routine.

In fact if you are able to give yourself a daily “dose” of reading or listening to motivational quotes you will find it a lot easier to maintain a positive bias and be able to perform at a heightened level of achievement. These quotes have been found to help in improving employee productivity and well-being. Other benefits including improving one’s financial position and improving self-esteem.

Conclusion

Make no mistake about the generally accepted fact that it it has been accepted as fact that people who habitually use motivational quotes have improved almost every area of their state of affairs. Of course not as some silver bullet but by changing their habitual ways of thinking they have changed their habitual ways of acting. Give yourself a consistent 21 day diet of such statements and see if you have the same outcomes. If it has worked for so many others then using motivational sayings will in all probability work for you!

If you are like me, you probably have wondered at some point in time what motivation really was? The textbook definition of motivation would state it as being an inner process that moves you unerringly toward the attainment of your goal. That definition should also include the mental concepts of purpose and vision. These concepts will play an important role when you are determining your goal in the first place. The real glue to building lasting motivation are the cultivation of the qualities drive and determination. If you are interested you can read . . . Some people allow different things to motivate them. It could be your job, your marriage, your family, your income or your wealth. What is the definition for motivation for you? If you can find out definition for motivation to you, then you would have tapped into your true self and hone in on exactly what it takes to succeed.

Since the word motivation is equivalent in a lot of ways to the word “move”. It should be readily evident that your life is at a standstill when your motivational force is not there. This equates to fear of failure and what keeps people who lack motivation to remain in the same pattern every day of their lives.

Self-Motivation and You It is quite likely that you already have the necessary skills to motivate yourself in a manner that is effective. Besides emotion these skills would include being organized, goal-oriented and disciplined. In fact it could be further stated that if you have all of these skills now in sufficient quantities that you have already substantiated a pretty good definition of motivation for yourself already by becoming the person you are today.

Conclusion So there you have it a definition of motivation that should serve you well if you choose to accept it and act upon it. You should have an understanding that self-motivated individuals reason that things won’t always work out. They understand at those times that the most important thing is to make the most important thing the most important thing. That is to stay focused on what they want despite evidence that would suggest otherwise. They have learned through life experience that keeping their focus on the prize will always be of assistance in the long run. They utilize the principle of focusing on what is wanted right in front of them instead of challenges and/or problems whose main purpose it seems is to keep you from what you wish to accomplish.

If you have decided to take the first step to lose some weight then that is great. It is not an easy task to work up the motivation to start. There are three key important types of exercises aerobic and strength training are two and they will both help you burn off the majority of calories.

Due to the fact that the amount of weight that you have on your body depends on two factors, taking in less calories or burning more of the calories off. The best thing to do is to concentrate on these two aspects in the beginning to ensure your self motivation stays as you lose the weight.

But many people whose self motivation has actually helped them to begin an exercise for their weight loss program forget about the importance of strength training. Aerobic exercise will burn off more calories in the beginning; however lifting weights will increase your muscle mass, and muscle burns off more calories than fat.

One pound of muscle will need 35 calories a day to function at rest and only one pound of fat only needs two calories for that same function. One thing you need to remember is to not be discouraged if you are not able to accomplish all of the reps that you are supposed to on every set. Self motivation is what got you to start your routine, but many people have problems keeping up with it.

One thing that you must do is believe, just take a moment and think about it for a second. Understanding what ideas motivation for you is important if you want to lose weight the more motivated you are the more likely you are to start and continue your exercise program. There are different things that motivate different people you just need to find out what exactly is for you.

There have been several motivational theories created by people over time, however seeing how they are theories and not proven facts there are some that people believe and others that people do not believe. One of the most popular and well known theories comes from Abraham Maslow and it is called the hierarchy of needs.

This theory is taught in many philosophy and psychology classes in schools all over North America. It states that people would like to satisfy different needs and some of them we find more important than others. Not only this but some of these needs are more pressing then the others. As we satisfy one of our needs, it then becomes less important to us, other needs therefore become more important to us and become motivators of our behavior.

Maslow therefore says we have a hierarchy of needs. The most proponent needs that we have are shown at the bottom of the ladder, as the prepotency decreases we progresses upwards. The first need is called self actualization needs. Self actualization needs require meeting your own best potential and for you to do your own best things.

The next one is called esteem. Esteem involves having respect for other individuals having respect for yourself and also recognition. After this we have belonging which is being affiliated being accepted and also being apart of something. The second last one is safety needs, which is being physically safe and having psychological security. Last but not least there is physiological which includes hunger, thirst, sex and rest.

Another motivational theory is that we are motivated by money. Money means different things for different people. Money can mean status, survival, belonging achievement and a lot of other things, you can take your pick. In the end it all simply depends on the type of person that you are.

It does not matter who you are someone could be not so attractive or the most beautiful person on the planet however everybody at one point or another whether they decided to tell someone or not has had a problem with their self image. Not only did they have a problem with their self image, they also needed a little bit of motivation to make themselves feel better about themselves and the way they look.

The longer that we take part of exercises is the better that we feel about ourselves and feel like something is actually happening. Situations change depending on how well we feel about ourselves if we take a good walk or exercise then we tend to feel better and the way that we view ourselves.

There are actually psychological reasons that explain why if we reach a certain exercise goal we tend to feel better about our self image. If you complete a task that you were never able to do before, the part in your body that holds your beliefs will increase you will soon feel more proud and believe in yourself, you will set new goals believe in yourself and feel slowly but surely better about your self image because you have achieved your goal and then you will set new ones.

Next you have the results of the way other people react to your exercise program and success. If other people note and say that they have noticed a difference in your physique in a good way such as you lost weight or you look healthier maybe even less tired then the belief in your self image will go up and you will feel more motivated to keep working on it so you can feel that you look even better and maybe get a few more compliments. You will be surprised at how much better you feel about yourself and your image once you receive a few compliments.

You can look at any area from productivity and profits, liability to recruiting and retention, hardworking and happy employees lead to success.

Unfortunately for business owners motivating people is not an exact science. In fact different methods of motivation, motivate people at different levels. Where as one employee may be motivated only by the thought of money. Another employee maybe motivated by possibly getting personal recognition for a job well done.

Yet again another person maybe motivated if they can get equity in the business in which they work for. What you can do to find out what can motivate your employees is simply ask them. Conduct a survey or a questionnaire that offers different motivation techniques or incentives for them to choose from, see what they select and use it to your advantage.

If you want to significantly reduce the turnover rates for your company and the expenses that come from recruiting, hiring, and training new staff you can do this by shifting the expenses that come along with hiring new employees to keeping and developing your current experienced ones.

For example, you can motivate an employee to increase their level of productivity by providing opportunities for career development. Any person would love the opportunity to move up in a company and get more authority. By doing this you have improved the employee’s skills and shown them recognition of the worker’s value and aspirations. There some other motivating techniques that can be used, which include delegating responsibilities and giving them the opportunity to give their opinion when it comes to decision-making. Incentives such as pay increases, bonuses or benefits are factors that can also help motivate your employees.

If you are looking for an easy self motivation exercise that will help you get off your feet and achieve some goals in life then I got an exercise for you. These are just some ideas that can help you stay motivated.

The first thing that you need to think about is what is truly important to you. Something that I have noticed is that if you link a reward to an achievement, then you will be better motivated to stop unnecessary things and work on your goals. If pleasure is something that you really value then this idea will work for you if not then it might not.

Think about something that will motivate you such as buying a new dvd, going to a basketball game or something like that and only allow yourself to actually do it if you achieve your goals. If you are actually more motivated by the fear of something happening then there is something else for you to think about. On the other hand, you may be more motivated by the fear of loss.

If this is your situation then all you have to do is attach the achievement to loss. If you find yourself not motivated to have your goals accomplished then take something away or stop doing something that you enjoy. One thing that may actually be the best self motivation exercise for you, is to work at achieving goals and abundance in a field that you do enjoy doing.

You must always remember that nothing in life comes easily. It takes time and dedication to make sure that the task and goal actually becomes completed. If your just laying back and doing nothing then there is no way that you could expect your goals to be accomplished. However if you stand up and take control they will be.
